In limited ways, yes. AI may be used to help refine language or as a brainstorming tool, but never for design. Every design is created by a human artist.

It comes down to ownership. Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance, work that’s generated entirely by AI, without meaningful human creative control, generally isn’t eligible for copyright protection. That means a fully AI-made graphic may not legally belong to your organization in a way you could enforce if someone else copied it. AI tools can also unintentionally produce imagery that resembles someone else’s existing trademark, which creates real legal exposure, exposure most nonprofits aren’t set up to absorb or fight. Human-made, original design gives your organization something it can actually own and protect as your brand grows.
