READY TO BUILD YOUR OWN WEBSITE?

In my nearly decade-long tenure working with businesses, I’ve noticed a recurring challenge: many startup owners feel intimidated by the thought of building a website: the costs, the platform, not knowing how to code…the list goes on.

While a professionally designed website is undoubtedly valuable (our clients pay upwards of $40,000 to have us build out their sites), it’s often out of reach for those with limited budgets.

I believe that a strong online presence is essential for any business, regardless of its size or stage. That’s why I’ve created this workshop. It’s designed to empower business owners to take control of their digital destiny and build their own websites using Canva, Siteground, WordPress and Elementor Pro.

By the end of this 5-week workshop, you’ll have the skills and confidence to:

  • Set up your website’s backend
  • Design and customize a mobile-ready website
  • Create engaging content
  • Launch your website and start attracting visitors

My goal is to demystify the process of website building and make it accessible to everyone. This workshop is not a replacement for professional web development, but it’s a powerful tool that can help you get started!

FAQS

The workshop fee is $600. In addition to the workshop fee, you’ll need to budget for domain name registration, hosting, and premium plugins like Elementor Pro. We recommend budgeting an additional $200-$300 to cover these costs.

No worries! We’ll guide you through the design process using user-friendly tools like Canva. You don’t need to be a professional designer to create a beautiful website.

You can expect to spend around 5-10 hours per week, including attending the live sessions and completing homework assignments.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Recordings of each session will be provided, so you can catch up at your own pace.

While the structured workshop will conclude, you’ll continue to have access to the private Facebook group, where you can ask questions, share your progress, and connect with other participants.

You can reach out to me directly or post your questions in the Facebook group. I’ll be available to assist you throughout the workshop and beyond.

While we’ll cover the basics of SEO, such as keyword optimization and meta tags, it’s important to understand that search engine optimization is a complex and ever-evolving field. To achieve significant improvements in search engine rankings, you may need to invest in professional SEO services or continue learning and implementing advanced SEO techniques.

While SiteGround is our recommended hosting provider and Elementor Pro is a crucial tool we’ll be using, you’re not strictly obligated to use them. However, please note that our support and guidance will be primarily focused on these platforms. If you choose a different hosting provider or website builder, you may need to seek additional support or resources. Purchasing Elementor Pro is essential as it’s a core tool we’ll be using to design and build your website.

Yes, I may receive affiliate commissions for some of the tools and services we use, such as SiteGround hosting and Elementor Pro. This helps to offset the costs of running the workshop and providing ongoing support. Please note that these commissions will not impact your cost of the workshop.

Website security is crucial. We’ll provide guidance on implementing essential security measures, including:

  • Strong Passwords: Use strong, unique passwords for your website and hosting account.
  • Regular Updates: Keep your WordPress core, themes, and plugins updated to the latest versions.
  • Security Plugins: Consider using security plugins like Wordfence to add an extra layer of protection.
  • Backups: Regularly back up your website to safeguard your data.
  • Accessibility: To ensure your website is accessible to everyone, we highly recommend using a premium accessibility plugin like UserWay or Accessibe.

By following these best practices, you can significantly reduce the risk of security breaches and protect your website.

No, you don’t need any prior coding experience. This workshop is designed for beginners. We’ll guide you through the entire process using user-friendly tools that allow you to create stunning websites without writing a single line of code.

No, I won’t be writing the content for your website. However, I can provide guidance on content structure, SEO optimization, and writing engaging copy. You’ll be responsible for creating the content for your website.

It’s crucial to use images that you have the rights to use. Here are some tips:

  • Original Images: If you’ve taken the photos yourself, you own the copyright.
  • Stock Photos: Purchase stock photos from reputable websites like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock.
  • Free Stock Photos: Use free stock photo websites like Unsplash, CreateHer Stock, or Pexels. However, always check the specific licensing terms for each image.
  • Creative Commons Images: Look for images with Creative Commons licenses, which allow you to use the images under certain conditions.
  • Avoid Copyright Infringement: Never use images from Google Images without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

I’ll provide you with resources to help you find high-quality, legally-licensed images.

While you can use a pre-built template, please note that the workshop is designed to help you build your website from scratch. Using a pre-built template may limit your ability to customize and personalize your site.

If you choose to use a template, I will not be able to provide specific guidance on customizing it, especially if it’s not built with Elementor Pro.

Disclaimer: Please note that the workshop fee is non-refundable. However, under certain circumstances, you may request to reschedule your participation to a future cohort. This request must be made at least two weeks prior to the workshop’s start date. Please be aware that rescheduling is only permitted once.

While we will provide guidance and support throughout the workshop, we are not responsible for any security breaches, hosting costs, copyright issues, accessibility concerns, or the ongoing maintenance of your website. It is your responsibility to ensure the security and accessibility of your website and to maintain it after the workshop.

The success of this workshop depends on your active participation. By attending the live sessions, completing homework assignments, and engaging with the community, you can maximize your learning experience.
